Books

Since I have a lot of time on my hands these days and thankfully am not on any medication like last time, I have enjoyed reading. One book that I read is The Remarkable Soul of a Woman by Elder Uchtdorf. It's an easy read but so wonderful! I love how Elder Uchtdorf has a way of building women up and making us feel so wonderful about who we are and what our calling is here on this earth.

One thing he talked about was our inclination to create. And it makes sense cause I don't know too many women who don't have a desire to create in some way or another. Some create life, others crafts, others cook, we all create in some way. I thought that was such a wonderful thought!

The other book is the following:
This was such a fun book to read! It really made me think about how I can simplify my life and how I can be a better at being happy with who I am. I love books like that!

Now I am in the process of reading "I didn't plan to be a witch" by Linda Eyre. It has some wonderful parenting ideas, such as the Repenting Bench". I am going to try that with my kids when they are a little older. She also talks about sibling rivalry and how to handle that. I needed to learn about it because I can see it starting already with Will and Lizzy. I guess it would make sense that they would have some of that this early on where they have always been together. I just need to make sure that I help them feel like they each are wonderful and I love them just as much. A thought that I think is good to keep in mind as a parent is that if you tell a child they are horrible and who knows what else, if you tell them enough times they will believe that is just what they are and they will act accordingly. So many things to think about as a parent! But if you are a mom and want a good book to read, I really recommend this one.

Great books, love both of them! I'm only 1/3 into Linda Eyre's. I also love "A Mother's Books of Secrets" which she co-authored with the lovely Shawni Eyre Pothier. So glad to hear you're doing well and have such an awesomely positive attitude!! Cu mult drag, Cristina!
